Holistic Medicine: Functional Medicine May Be Your Answer

Are you Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?

Are you Frustrated With No Testing Done?

Do You Want Lab Work Pulled But Your Doctor Refuses?

Have You Complained of Serious Symptoms Only to Be Told "It is All In Your Head" or "There Is Nothing To Be Done"

We don't believe that is good healthcare. We offer a way to dive deep into your health concerns and find the answers you are looking for.

What Is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is a branch of  healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness through testing, rather than just treating symptoms from just observing and listening. This medicine is personalized and takes into consideration the impact and interactions between genetics, environmental influences and lifestyle factors. Functional medicine seeks to track patient's health through lab work using their own data to then create a treatment plan that optimizes the body's natural healing processes to restore balance.

At our office, we offer elevated functional medicine by taking a comprehensive and individualized approach to each patient's care. We begin by conducting detailed assessments to understand your health history, lifestyle and underlying imbalances that may be affecting your well-being. This may include advanced diagnostic testing to identify deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, inflammation, or gut health issues, among other factors.

How Are We Different from Western Trained Professionals Who Offer Functional Medicine?

From there, we create a customized treatment plan that includes lifestyle modifications, targeted supplementation, stress management techniques, acupuncture and advanced herbal medicine.  After a set amount of months or at the very least annually, we often suggest re-testing. This retesting will continue to help you heal and offer insight to the treatment progress.

This personalized approach doesn't rely on the functional medicine computer system to tell us, on the back end, what to recommend for each patient. We are actually trained in herbal medicine and nutraceutical therapies. We use the most sophisticated and advanced form of herbal medicine that has treated billions of people for thousands of years and only recommend products produced, manufactured and tested in the United States. This is truly patient-centered medicine that combines the best of Western medicine (lab work and diagnostics) with the best of Eastern medicine (acupuncture, herbal medicine and lifestyle modifications) . We do not rely on computer generated advice that is common when Functional Medicine practitioners don't have formal training in natural medicine or aren't board certified in herbal medicine. Don't know if your provider is board certified in herbal medicine? Ask them.  Our goal is to empower you with the tools and knowledge you need to achieve optimal health and wellness, addressing the root causes of your symptoms so you can experience long-term relief and vitality. We even offer telemedicine health coaching for those who aren't within driving distance to our office.

Interested in Functional Medicine and don't want acupuncture? No problem. Just set appointments appropriate for Functional Medicine initial visits and follow ups. Want it all. That works too. We are here to serve you the way you want to utilize our expertise. Don't want any testing, labwork or analysis done? This too is okay, just specify what type of medicine you want and we cater to you. Not sure which way to go? Schedule an initial visit and we will present options for you to choose.

Whether you're dealing with chronic conditions like fatigue, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, insomnia,  infertility, menopause, difficult menstruation, allergies,  mold infections, viruses, long COVID, autoimmune disorders or even a mystery illness.  Functional medicine offers a holistic, whole-body, all-systems approach to enable  you to regain control over your health. We are here to guide you and heal you, every step of the way in your journey toward health, wellness and feeling good.
