Dr. Kristen Burris, DAcCHM

Dr. Kristen Burris, DAcCHM , (doctor of acupuncture with a specialization in Chinese herbal medicine), graduated with the highest academic distinction of summa cum laude from Pacific College of Health and Science.  It is the most well respected Chinese medical school in the United States formerly called Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. 

Dr. Burris won Best of Treasure Valley for Acupuncture, Business Woman of the Year by National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Business Person of the Year by Eagle Chamber, Top Doctor in the U.S. by Evergreen Herbs, Best Acupuncturist in Idaho, Best Acupuncturist in Boise and Top Doc of Eagle, Idaho. She has been featured on the cover of two magazines, HERLIFE and Greet Eagle, for her work in infertility and for her donating time, money, and services to the Treasure Valley. 

Dr. Burris is an award-winning doctor in the field of women’s health including: infertility, miscarriage, hormonal imbalances, menopause, menstrual pain, heavy bleeding and challenging menstrual irregularities. Dr. Burris has been a guest lecturer at San Diego Hospice, University of California San Diego Integrative Clinic, UCSD Dental Acupuncture Study, Reproductive Nurses Society and Resolve, the non-profit supporting couples with infertility. Dr. Kristen Burris, DAcCHM has taught students acupuncture and auricular (ear) acupuncture at her alma mater in San Diego.  

Dr. Burris receives telemedicine referrals from fertility centers throughout the U.S. to prepare patients and surrogates prior to starting IVF; nearly ½ of the States in the U.S.  have had successful infertility babies born from her work from N.Y. to California to Virginia to Texas.    Dr. Burris has co-treated patients with IVF doctors to prepare the patients months in advance for IVF and also before, during,  and after embryo transfers at the leading infertility centers in San Diego, California. IVF doctors have sent their wives to Dr. Burris for infertility treatments. OBGYN’s have chosen Dr. Burris for their female and male factor infertility treatments and were able to avoid IVF themselves. 

Doctors of acupuncture who once thought they were trained in and treated infertility, sought out Dr. Burris’ expertise for infertility for themselves. After experiencing only one treatment and seeing firsthand the complex approach Dr. Burris implements, fusing together both traditional Chinese medicine, with lab work, functional medicine, and evidence based medicine,  she stopped treating infertility in her own practice. This doctor forever referred every infertility patient to Dr. Burris thereafter. Most acupuncturists and herbalists in the Treasure Valley refer to Dr. Burris when patients are seeking infertility treatment or miscarriage prevention. Patients fondly call her “The BabyMaker” due to her unprecedented success in treating over 1,000 couples with infertility in her career.
